10 year old boy has to catch crabs and snails to support his father and grandmother

His father suffered from mental illness, his mother left when Nguyen Dang Hung was only 3 years old, and his elderly grandmother had to work hard to support her sick son and her young grandson. Although the family's circumstances were very difficult, her grandmother and villagers still supported and helped Nguyen Dang Hung to go to school.

But what makes Mrs. Dang Thi Nhung (Hung's grandmother) most miserable is her son's difficult-to-treat mental illness. When he has an attack, all the household items are destroyed. Mrs. Nhung is 70 years old this year and is often sick, so she has to rely on her grandson Hung to do all the housework.

After school hours, Hung often goes out to catch crabs and snails to earn money to support his sick father and elderly grandmother.

Although he is young, Hung tries to do many things, from cooking, washing clothes, cleaning the house to going to the fields to catch crabs and snails to support his family.
