A 3-year-old boy suffered serious injuries after being attacked by a stray dog.
(Baonghean.vn) - While sitting and playing by the roadside near his home, a 3-year-old boy in Que Phong district was attacked by a stray dog, causing him serious injuries.
On the afternoon of July 26th, Mr. Nong Van Huan, Chairman of the People's Committee of Chau Thon commune, Que Phong district, reported that a 3-year-old child in the area had been attacked by a stray dog and suffered very serious injuries.
Accordingly, at around 10:30 AM on the same day, HGH (born in 2019), residing in Hien village, Tam Tien hamlet, Chau Thon commune, Que Phong district, was playing with her mother near their home when a stray dog unexpectedly attacked her, causing severe injuries to her face, nose, forehead, and head.
Immediately after the attack, local residents killed the dog, reported the incident to the authorities, and took the child to the hospital for emergency treatment.
At approximately 11:15 AM on the same day, the boy was taken to the Que Phong District Medical Center, but due to the severity of multiple facial injuries, the center transferred him to the provincial hospital.
It is known that HGH's family is a poor household with four children, H. being the youngest. The dog that attacked the child has been identified as a stray dog suspected of having rabies, which had traveled through many areas of Tam Tien hamlet, Chau Thon commune. Previously, it had attacked another child in Mo village, Tam Tien hamlet, but the family managed to chase it away in time, preventing injury.
