4 year old boy died of suspected electrocution

(Baonghean.vn) - Seeing that their child had not returned home from playing late, the family went looking for him and discovered that Bui Duy Q. had died next to an electric wire.

According to the victim's family, at around 6:15 p.m. on August 9, relatives discovered that Bui Duy Q. (born 2014) had died on the inter-hamlet road in hamlet 7, Quynh Luong commune (Quynh Luu).

Before that, at around 4:30 p.m., Q. was picked up from school by his father and then went out alone. When it was getting dark and he still hadn't returned, family members went looking for him and discovered the heartbreaking incident.

A witness said that at the time Q. was found dead, there was an electric wire still attached to his leg and his leg had burn marks. At that time, the electric wire had an electric current running through it, and those who touched Q.'s body felt like they were being electrocuted.

The above wire is part of a tangled system of wires on the inter-village power line. At the time of the incident, the wire was broken and fell onto the road.

Mr. Ho Trong Loc - Chief of Quynh Luong Commune Police said that at around 7:15 p.m., the commune police received a report from the people and quickly went to the scene to report to the authorities.

Immediately afterwards, Quynh Luu District Police arrived at the scene to clarify the cause of Q's death.
