A young boy in the US stole his dad's pickup truck and drove to a McDonald's to buy a cheeseburger.

According to AFP, on the evening of April 9, the boy drove his 4-year-old sister for 1.5 miles (2.4 km), stopping at red lights and yielding to other vehicles before turning left into a store.McDonald's in townEast Palestine, bOhio.

While the adventure was unfolding, the boy's parents were asleep at home, completely unaware.

The police only discovered the incident when residents reported seeing a child driving through town. When the boy stuck his head out of the car window to buy a pastry, the shopkeepers initially thought it was a prank.

"The staff assumed the boy's parents were sitting in the back, but they clearly weren't there."Jacob Koehler, a patrol officer, recounted the story.

When the police arrived, the boy started crying, believing he had done something wrong. He explained that heI taught myself to drive by watching tutorials on YouTube.

While waiting for their family to pick them up, the two children enjoyed cheesecake, grilled chicken, and french fries.

No one was charged in the incident.
