Becamex Binh Duong will face Hanoi FC in the AFC Cup 2019.
(Baonghean.vn) - By defeating PSM Makassar from Indonesia in the semi-finals, Becamex Binh Duong secured the remaining ticket to play in the AFC Southeast Asia regional final against Hanoi FC.
In the first leg, the Vietnamese representative secured a narrow victory at home. This meant that Wander Luiz's goal in the 45+3 minute of the second leg gave Becamex Binh Duong a much better chance of reaching the final.
However, Ho Tan Tai's own goal and Evans' goal for PSM Makassar made the match exciting until the very last seconds.

When the final whistle blew, many Vietnamese football fans breathed a sigh of relief as the V.League representative officially advanced to the final match thanks to the away goals rule.
In the previous semi-final match, it seemed Hanoi could easily win, but no, football is full of emotions, from joy and suspense to disappointment and elation. Ceres-Negros, the representative from the Philippines, made Hanoi sweat before they finally secured a tense 3-2 victory over two legs.
The AFC Cup Southeast Asia regional final between Binh Duong and Hanoi will be played in a two-legged format (July 30th - second leg, August 6th - third leg). The winning team will advance to the inter-regional semi-finals with representatives from Northeast Asia, South Asia, and Central Asia.

After eliminating the remaining three teams, the inter-regional champion will face the representative from West Asia in the final match to compete for the AFC Cup 2019 title.
