Minh An General Hospital implements its tasks for 2024 and receives a Certificate of Commendation from the Ministry of Health.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 28th, in Quynh Luu district, Minh An General Hospital (Nghe An) held a ceremony to summarize its medical examination and treatment work in 2023, implement tasks for 2024, and receive a Certificate of Commendation from the Minister of Health for its achievements in combating the Covid-19 epidemic.
Attending the ceremony was Dr. Nguyen Huu Le, Deputy Director of the Nghe An Department of Health. Also present were representatives from the leadership of the Quynh Luu District People's Committee and various functional departments and units in the area.

Minh An General HospitalAs a district-level hospital, it currently has a total of 292 staff members, including 85 doctors and nurses, 142 midwives and technicians; 11 pharmacists and 54 other staff members. In addition to the full-time medical staff, the hospital also has 1 Associate Professor, 1 resident doctor and 9 Masters from central and provincial hospitals providing professional support when needed.

In addition to the five functional departments of a district-level general hospital, Minh An Hospital currently has 10 departments: outpatient clinic, diagnostic imaging, laboratory, emergency, internal medicine - pediatrics, traditional medicine, surgery, obstetrics, interdisciplinary department, and pharmacy-medical supplies department.
To better meet the healthcare needs, in recent years the hospital has invested in purchasing more modern equipment, expanding departments and wards, and recruiting more staff.high-quality human resourcesto improve the quality of medical examination and treatment.
Particularly since the end of March 2023, after the Ministry of Health approved the addition of medical techniques to the list and the establishment of several new departments, the Social Insurance agency of Nghe An province has been assessing patients with health insurance cards to ensure they are entitled to benefits for hemodialysis.

In 2023, the hospital provided examinations for 178,667 health insurance patients, a 125% increase compared to 2022, of which 12,880 were inpatients. In addition to patients from within the district, 40% of patients last year were from outside the district.
After ensuring the provision of common medical treatments, since 2023, the hospital has implemented new techniques in "Hemodialysis" at the Intensive Care Unit; "ultrasound therapy for musculoskeletal disorders" at the Traditional Medicine and Rehabilitation Department; "pure-tone audiometry" at the Interdisciplinary Department; emergency surgery for liver wound repair, pleural drainage, emergency thoracotomy, gallstone removal, etc., at the Surgery Department…

Attending the conference, Dr. Nguyen Huu Le, Deputy Director of the Nghe An Department of Health, acknowledged the efforts of the medical staff in providing medical care over the past year.
Based on listening to the presentations from representatives of various departments and medical staff of the hospital, the Deputy Director of the Department of Health acknowledged the contributions of private hospitals in general and Minh An General Hospital in particular in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic and in providing medical care to the people in the recent past. Currently, the demand for improved quality of medical services is increasing, so he hopes that the hospital's medical staff will strive to successfully complete the work plans for 2024.

On the occasion of summarizing the work of medical examination and treatment in 2023 and implementing tasks for 2024, the collective of Minh An General Hospital and two individuals with outstanding achievements in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic were honored to receive Certificates of Commendation from the Minister of Health.

Minh An General Hospital was established according to Decision No. 216/QD-BYT dated December 28, 2017, formerly Minh An General Clinic, and is now recognized as a Grade III district-level hospital. According to the plan approved by the Ministry of Health, the hospital has 135 beds and is striving to obtain approval from the Ministry of Health to increase it to 185 beds.
