On October 22, Thai An General Hospital successfully performed laparoscopic surgery, saving the life of a patient with a life-threatening ruptured ectopic pregnancy.

Patient Tran Thi T, born in 1988, was admitted to the hospital with acute abdominal pain, low blood pressure, pale face, and shock. Through examination and imaging tests, it was determined that this was an obstetrics and gynecology emergency, with a ruptured ectopic pregnancy causing massive internal bleeding.
Specialist Doctor I Tran Thi Thu Trang - Deputy Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology Department,Thai An General Hospital predicts: If there is no urgent intervention, the patient's life will be in danger.
Immediately afterwards, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology coordinated with the doctors of the Department of Anesthesia and Emergency Resuscitation to transfer the patient to the operating room for emergency surgery.

During the laparoscopic surgery, the surgeon found that the fetus in the right fallopian tube had ruptured, and the abdomen was filled with blood. The surgical team quickly stopped the bleeding, removed the ectopic pregnancy, and drained the blood from the abdomen. The amount of blood recorded in Ms. T's abdomen was nearly 1,000 ml.
After surgery, seeing that the patient was weak, the doctor ordered a blood test and discovered that the patient had signs of severe anemia and needed an emergency blood transfusion.
Meanwhile, the patient was in extremely difficult circumstances and his family was unable to donate blood. Thai An General Hospital mobilized a team of staff, doctors and nurses with compatible blood types to quickly come to donate blood to save the patient's life.
