Nghe An General Friendship Hospital donated 350 million VND to support people in the highlands affected by storm No. 3.
Nghe An General Friendship Hospital organized a fundraising campaign to support the people of Nghe An highlands who were severely affected by storm No. 3. The total amount of donations was 350 million VND.
The circulation of storm No. 3 (Wipha) has caused many localities in Nghe An to suffer historic floods. The fierce floods have devastated villages and hamlets in the western mountainous region. Thousands of houses were swept away, many areas of crops were lost, and many areas were completely isolated.

Responding to the call of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, the Department of Health and authorities at all levels, right at the launching ceremony on the morning of July 25, officers, civil servants and employees of Nghe An General Hospital voluntarily contributed one day's salary to support people in flood-hit areas. The total amount of money raised was 350 million VND.
Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Huong - DirectorNghe An General Friendship Hospital stated: “Helping people in times of trouble is the responsibility and duty of those working in the medical field. We hope that the gift, although not large, is a timely sharing, showing the affection of those who are living and working in safer conditions.”
