Nghe An Friendship General Hospital organized a "Zero-Cost Tet Market" for patients currently receiving treatment at the facility.
On the morning of February 13th, Nghe An Friendship General Hospital organized the "Zero-Cost Tet Market" program, giving gifts to 1,000 patients currently receiving treatment at the hospital.

Attending the program were leaders from Vinh Phu ward, Nghe An Friendship General Hospital, businesses and philanthropists, along with a large number of patients' family members and patients currently receiving treatment at the hospital.

"Zero-Cost Tet Market" is a practical activity organized by Nghe An Friendship General Hospital to respond to the "Tet Reunion - Spring Gratitude to the Party" program of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the appeal letter from Nghe An province regarding support and assistance for the poor, disadvantaged, and vulnerable to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Horse in 2026.

Organized annually, the "Zero-Cost Tet Market" program is a charitable initiative implemented by the hospital to bring together philanthropists, staff, and employees of the hospital to provide a fulfilling Tet holiday and alleviate the difficulties faced by poor and disadvantaged patients receiving treatment at the hospital.

In his opening remarks at the "Zero-Cost Tet Market" program, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoa, Deputy Director of Nghe An Friendship General Hospital, stated: "Today, we are lighting a small fire called 'Zero-Cost Tet Market - Compassionate Tet in the Spring of the Year of the Horse 2026' to ease worries; to bring the spirit of Tet - the spirit of human kindness - into the hospital wards. Each package of biscuits, each box of milk, each packet of instant noodles... is a message: 'Please rest assured and focus on your treatment. You are not alone.'"

Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoa expressed his gratitude to the businesses and philanthropists who have supported the program. This support is a special "medicine" that helps patients become stronger and their families feel more secure. The Deputy Director of Nghe An Friendship General Hospital wished the patients more strength, peace, and a speedy recovery so they can return home to their families.

At the "Zero-Cost Tet Market" in 2026, 1,000 patients being treated at Nghe An Friendship General Hospital were able to purchase many essential items for the Lunar New Year such as banh chung (sticky rice cake), banh tet (cylindrical sticky rice cake), milk, cakes, and various household items for free... The total value of goods provided at the program was over 200 million VND.
