Nghe An Lung HospitalIt is a specialized hospital of grade II, with a planned capacity of 415 beds and an actual capacity of 700 beds. Currently, it has 15 departments, including 11 clinical departments and 4 paraclinical departments, and 7 functional rooms.

The hospital is fully equipped with machinery and equipment; its facilities are currently under construction. Currently, the hospital has implemented many medical procedures, gradually meeting the needs for examination, treatment, and healthcare for people in Nghe An province and neighboring provinces. On average, Nghe An Lung Hospital detects and treats approximately 2,100 patients annually.tuberculosis patientsVarious forms of tuberculosis. The cure rate and treatment success rate are over 90%, and the sputum testing rate per population remains above 1%. The number of tuberculosis patients tends to decrease by 5-10% each year.

To provide comprehensive care and treatment for respiratory diseases, the establishment of a thoracic surgery department at Nghe An Lung Hospital is essential. Responding to this urgent need, Nghe An Lung Hospital has signed a cooperation agreement with the National Lung Hospital for professional support and technology transfer in the field of thoracic surgery.

Through cooperation and professional support, the National Lung Hospital, in coordination with Nghe An Lung Hospital, conducted a survey and assessment of the current needs for human resources, facilities, and equipment at Nghe An Lung Hospital for the establishment of a Thoracic Surgery Department and an Anesthesia and Resuscitation Department.

The National Lung Hospital is committed to providing comprehensive support to the Nghe An Lung Hospital in human resource training, technical expertise, and necessary equipment (if any) to establish and develop the Thoracic Surgery Department, the Anesthesia and Resuscitation Department in particular, and the hospital in general.

On the part of Nghe An Lung Hospital, they are completing the legal procedures to submit to the competent authorities and prioritizing resources to establish a Thoracic Surgery Department and an Anesthesia and Resuscitation Department; and allocating sufficient human resources to participate in the transfer of techniques and new knowledge to improve professional knowledge in medical examination and treatment for the people.

The Nghe An Department of Health will advise the Provincial People's Committee on policies and mechanisms to support the Nghe An Lung Hospital in building infrastructure, equipment, and medical personnel; and direct specialized departments and affiliated units to coordinate and assist the Nghe An Lung Hospital in its comprehensive development.
