Nghe An Oncology Hospital organizes a scientific conference on the application of high-tech techniques in cancer diagnosis and treatment.
On the afternoon of October 17th, in Vinh City, Nghe An Oncology Hospital held its 8th Scientific Conference with the theme "Application of High Technology in Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment".
Attending the conference were Professor, Doctor Le Van Quang – Director of K Hospital; representatives of the leadership of central-level hospitals; the Board of Directors of the Nghe An Department of Health; representatives of the leadership of hospitals in the province; scientists from Vietnam and abroad; and a large number of medical staff and employees of Nghe An province.
Hospital Scientific ConferenceOncologyThe 8th Nghe An Cancer Research Forum, themed "Application of High-Tech Techniques in Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment," is a scientific forum on oncology where scientists from specialized oncology hospitals, lecturers, and researchers in the field of oncology can meet, exchange ideas, and present the latest research results and achievements of high-tech techniques in cancer diagnosis and treatment.
This conference serves as a prelude, providing a deeper insight into the oncology specialty for the specialized development orientation conference organized by the Nghe An Department of Health over two days (October 17-18). Also during this specialized development orientation conference, the Ministry of Health will present the recognition decision.Nghe An Oncology HospitalIt is the regional tertiary hospital in North Central Vietnam.
At the conference, scientists from Vietnam and abroad presented various topics and research in the field of oncology, including: Key research improving survival for breast cancer patients – updated data from international conferences in 2024; updates on new techniques in breast diagnosis and intervention; updates on treatment advances in metastatic breast cancer from the ESMO Breast 2024 conference; and optimized anti-HER2+ therapy for early-stage HER2+ breast cancer.
In addition, there are specialized topics: New mammography techniques in the diagnosis of breast pathology; evaluation of the results of chemoradiotherapy for stage 3 non-small cell lung cancer at K Hospital; single-port laparoscopic lobectomy with lymph node dissection for lung cancer treatment at Nghe An Oncology Hospital; updates on new advances in medical treatment of non-small cell lung cancer; the role of endoscopy in the diagnosis and treatment of early gastric cancer; 30 years of endocrine studies on prostate cancer treatment in Vietnam and new advances in targeted therapy for mCRPC patients.
Through the sharing of knowledge by scientists and experts, medical staff in Nghe An have been updated with much new information; thereby improving the quality of diagnosis, detection, and treatment of cancer.
