Having won a beauty pageant 10 years ago, Ky Duyen's return to the beauty contest is surprising. Despite being a prominent and highly-rated contestant, Ky Duyen's performance in the early stages of Miss Universe Vietnam has been "superficial and lacking in passion."

Following this incident, Ky Duyen shared her thoughts on her first performance, as well as the pressure and difficulties she faced upon returning to the beauty pageant arena.

"It's been 10 years since Ky Duyen returned to the beauty pageant arena, and it's a real challenge. It's not like what people think. The mindset for competing is different, the environment and everything around me is also very different from before, so I'm actually a little nervous and need time to adapt to an 'environment that is both familiar and strange.' I'm not perfect either, there's a lot of pressure, and I'm also affected by people's expectations, and I'm making things difficult for myself."Ky Duyen said.

Kỳ Duyên stated that the preliminary round did not require her to speak English, and she doesn't usually communicate in the language. However, the beauty queen made an effort to write her introduction and present it in English.

The beauty queen from Nam Dinh admitted that her performance wasn't great and expressed her hope that the audience would understand her courage:"My teacher scolded me after watching it because she couldn't understand how I could be so brave. I'm sharing this so that everyone can be more level-headed and I can gradually integrate into this world."

Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen was born in 1996 in Nam Dinh province. She was crowned Miss Vietnam 2014 at the young age of 18. The beauty queen is 1.76 m tall and has measurements of 86-60-94 cm. At the time of her coronation, Ky Duyen faced much controversy and debate.

Compared to when she was first crowned, Ky Duyen has undergone a significant transformation in appearance. The beauty queen now has a well-proportioned figure thanks to a regular diet and exercise regimen.

Currently, Ky Duyen is primarily active in the fashion industry. She has been invited to be a judge and coach in competitions and programs such as:The Look Vietnam 2017, Vietnam Supermodel 2018, Miss Sports 2022, The Face Vietnam 2023.
