Man stabbed to death by his younger brother for defending his child.
Seeing his nephew fighting with neighborhood kids, the uncle took him to tell his father, who was also his older brother. Instead of disciplining his son, the older brother, in defending his nephew, turned against his younger brother. A fight then ensued, resulting in the older brother being stabbed to death by his younger brother.
On January 12th, the Investigation Police Department of Kien Giang province announced that they are finalizing the case file to be submitted to the Procuratorate, requesting the prosecution of Huynh Cong Hong, 36 years old, residing in My Lam commune, Hon Dat district, Kien Giang province, for the crime of murder. The victim in this case is Huynh Cong Khanh, the defendant's older brother.

According to the investigation results, at noon on November 13, 2018, after drinking alcohol, Hong saw her 7-year-old nephew, the son of Khanh (Hong's older brother), fighting with some neighborhood children. Hong intervened and took her nephew to see Khanh (who was at a nearby temple) to recount the incident.
The two brothers got into an argument. Khanh hit Hong in the face, but others intervened to stop him. Enraged, Hong went home, grabbed a knife, and returned to stab Khanh once in the chest, killing him instantly.
