(Baonghean.vn) - In the recent high school graduation exam, Nguyen Trong Hoang Nguyen - a student of class 12C1, Nguyen Sy Sach High School (Thanh Chuong) - not only achieved the highest score in the school, but was also among the top 20 high-scoring candidates in the natural science subject combination exam, receiving commendation from the Provincial People's Committee.

Since receiving her exam results, Nguyen's family home, located along National Highway 46 in Hamlet 1, Thanh Luong Commune, seems happier. Nguyen said that she was quite satisfied with her scores in the recent high school graduation exam; besides the subjects required for the A-block university entrance exam, her scores in the other subjects were also quite high.

Nguyen's total exam score is 51.25 (including Math 9.6; Physics 8.5; Chemistry 9; Literature 8.5; Biology 8.25; Foreign Language 7.4).

According to Nguyen, during her studies, she not only reviewed the subjects for the A-group entrance exams but also dedicated time to studying all the subjects for the high school graduation exam. Nguyen's study method prioritized learning at school, thoroughly understanding the lessons in class, and at home studying according to the topics, lesson plans, and guidance of her teachers.

Recalling her high school graduation exams, Nguyen shared: "I did well on the Literature exam, writing continuously from beginning to end. For Biology, I only studied enough to get a basic score. As for Foreign Language, I had to work hard to 'break through' the barrier. In the mock exam, I only got 4.4 points, but after a period of focused studying, I finally achieved 7.4 points."

The male student said that in the high school graduation exam, each test paper has sections ranging from easy to difficult. Some good and excellent students, due to overconfidence, lose points on even the easy questions. Therefore, it is necessary to value and firmly grasp the basic knowledge to do well on the easy questions and to be satisfied with the difficult ones. To achieve high scores on all graduation exams, during the preparation process, it is essential not only to focus on the subjects required for university admission but also to study all subjects equally.

With 51.25 points, Nguyen is among the top 20 students in the province who achieved the highest scores in the natural science combined exam. Nguyen excitedly shared: "I was quite surprised and happy to learn that I am among the 20 students who achieved high scores in the natural science combined exam and were commended by the Provincial People's Committee."

As the eldest of four siblings in a farming family, Nguyen was not only studious and academically gifted but also diligent in doing household chores to help his parents. In 2017, his father suffered a head injury in a traffic accident, leaving him in poor health and only able to do light work. His mother, Le Thi Minh, worked in the fields while also wrapping and cooking banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes) and selling sweet soups at Con Market (Thanh Duong commune) to earn extra income to support her children's education.

Overcoming his family circumstances, during his high school years, Nguyen achieved admirable accomplishments: He was a top student at the district level in Physics and Biology in 8th grade; a top student at the district level in Chemistry in 9th grade; and received an honorable mention in Chemistry at the provincial level in 12th grade…

With 27.1 points in the A-block entrance exam, Nguyen applied to the Military Medical Academy. According to Nguyen, since childhood she has dreamed of becoming a doctor to treat illnesses and save lives. Recently, with advice and guidance from family members, she chose to apply to the Military Medical Academy.

Mr. Nguyen Trong Huynh (65 years old) - Nguyen's grandfather - shared: "My family is extremely happy to know that my grandson scored high marks in his graduation exams and received commendations from the school and the province. This is a source of encouragement for him to try even harder. He dreams of becoming a doctor, but since our family is still facing many difficulties, we advised him to apply for admission to the Military Medical Academy."

"In the recent graduation exam, the results she achieved were commensurate with her academic ability. I am not surprised by this result and I always believe she will achieve even more success in her studies."
