Mr. Thang said: When he first got married, his wife and he faced many difficulties because they lacked stable employment. He had to travel frequently to earn money to support his wife and children. In 2010, with government support in the form of piglets from the 30a fund, he and his family established a pig farm. He also met with and learned from successful pig farmers in villages and hamlets within and outside the commune, then applied the correct techniques, resulting in rapid growth of his pig herd. With stable prices, pig farming brings Mr. Thang's family an income of over 30 million VND per year. From a struggling household in Lo village, Mr. Luong Van Thang's family has now risen out of poverty.

Once he had a stable life, Mr. Thang began to think about getting rich. With his keen market sense, he decided to invest in commercial goat farming. Initially, he experimented with raising a few goats, and after seeing that they could thrive and were suitable for the climate conditions of his farm, he continued to expand the herd. To date, his family's total goat herd has reached over 40, bringing in an income of 50-60 million VND per year. Not only is he an example of overcoming hardship and escaping poverty, but Mr. Luong Van Thang's family is now also a model household in economic development in the village and the commune.
Comrade Kha Van Loi – Secretary of Lo village, Xa Luong commune, proudly spoke about a Party member in his branch: “We find the integrated livestock farming model of Mr. Thang's family very suitable for the conditions of a village with limited arable land like Lo village. Only livestock farming and forestry can create a sustainable economy. Learning from Mr. Thang's model, several households in the village have now adopted it and achieved very high economic efficiency.”
Following the principle of "short-term gains to support long-term growth," Thang continued to invest in digging ponds for fish farming and raising ducks, chickens, and geese. To date, his two fish ponds and poultry not only improve his family's daily meals but also contribute to increased income.

Over the past period, the commune has provided more than 40 piglets and 10 calves to poor and disadvantaged households, and many households have made excellent use of this fund to build semi-wild economic models, bringing high incomes, not only escaping poverty but also becoming wealthy, such as the family of Mr. Luong Van Thang.
