(Baonghean.vn) - At 69 years old, having served as the Party Secretary of Hamlet 11, Thuan Giang Parish, Quynh Hung Commune, Quynh Luu District for 26 years, Mr. Ha Van Ton has always excellently fulfilled his duties, earning the affection of the Party and the trust of the people.

From the moment he assumed the position of Party Branch Secretary, he recognized that the grassroots Party branch was the intermediary bridge conveying the Party and State's guidelines, policies, and laws to the people. In his role, he and his fellow Party members in the branch demonstrated pioneering spirit, exemplary conduct, and enthusiasm in all areas, staying close to the community. Because of this, Mr. Ha Van Ton always received the trust and respect of the parishioners in the neighborhood.

Mr. Ha Van Ton directed the parishioners in the hamlet to mobilize and complete the ring road.

Hamlet 11 in Quynh Hung commune has 420 households with over 1,800 inhabitants and is predominantly Catholic. Therefore, leadership and management face considerable challenges. Along with six other Party members in the Hamlet 11 Party branch, Mr. Ha Van Ton has skillfully and effectively applied and combined various propaganda methods each year, thereby fostering the strength of national unity. Particularly in the implementation of the National Target Program for building new rural areas, Party members have set a good example by contributing taxes to the fund, donating land for roads, and volunteering to take on difficult-to-cultivate land after land conversion.

With the support of the State, the parishioners have contributed hundreds of millions of dong, thousands of man-days of labor, and donated thousands of square meters of land to expand roads and build drainage ditches. Currently, about 90% of the internal village roads have been paved with concrete, making them neat and clean. The drainage system has been built solidly and modernly, thereby improving the environment in the village.

Mr. Ha Van Ton shared: "If a Party member lives and acts well according to the Party's guidelines, that is paradise for them. And if they do well what Jesus taught, they are also good citizens for the country."

Currently, Mr. Ha Van Ton is actively leading the parishioners in the hamlet to complete the ring road project. Although the project is supported by the State, the parishioners have actively contributed their labor to accelerate the road construction progress. As both the Party branch secretary and the head of the village's Fatherland Front committee, he is the link connecting the Party's will and the people's aspirations at the grassroots level.

The carpentry trade is thriving in Thuan Giang Parish, Quynh Hung commune (Quynh Luu district).

Mr. Pham Xuan Bach, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Quynh Hung commune, Quynh Luu district, commented: “Comrade Ton, despite his advanced age, always sets a good example in adhering to the policies of the Party and the State. He always works alongside the Fatherland Front committee to promote unity and coordination in meetings between the Party and the parishioners. His children and grandchildren are doing well in their studies, and he himself always strives to improve and perform his mass mobilization work very well.”

Thanks to the positive contributions of Party Branch Secretary Ha Van Ton, Hamlet 11 of Thuan Giang Parish has seen significant development. The poverty rate has decreased to only 5%; for many years, no one in the hamlet has had a third child or more; the carpentry industry has developed, providing stable employment and income for hundreds of hamlet workers. In particular, the people in the hamlet are always united, harmonious, and work together to build an increasingly beautiful homeland.
