Do Trong Hung, Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, appointed as Deputy Head of the Central Organization Department.
The Politburo has assigned Mr. Do Trong Hung, a member of the 13th Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council of Thanh Hoa province, to the position of Deputy Head of the Central Organization Department.
On the afternoon of September 5th, the Central Organizing Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo's decision on personnel matters.
Accordingly, the Politburo decided to transfer and assign Mr. Do Trong Hung - Member of the 13th Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council of Thanh Hoa province - to the position of Deputy Head of the Central Organization Department.
Mr. Do Trong Hung was born on December 5, 1971; his hometown is Quang Trung commune, Quang Xuong district, Thanh Hoa province; his professional qualifications include a PhD in Philosophy, a Master's degree in Social Sciences and Humanities, and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science.
He was a member of the Central Committee of the 13th Party Congress and a representative in the 14th National Assembly.
Mr. Hung was formerly a specialist in the Propaganda Department, general secretary of the District Party Committee Office, and Deputy Chief of the District Party Committee Office of Quang Xuong District, Thanh Hoa province, from 1992 to 1999.
Subsequently, he held the following positions: Specialist in the General Affairs Department of the Provincial Party Committee Office, Secretary to the Provincial Party Secretary, Deputy Chief of Office, and then Chief of Office of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee until 2009.
From May 2009 to August 2010, he served as the Secretary of the District Party Committee of Nong Cong District, Thanh Hoa Province.
Subsequently, he served as Deputy Head of the Standing Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Council, 16th term, until May 2015.
From May 2015 to October 2020, he served as the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term.
On October 27, 2020, he was elected Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; more than a month later, he was elected Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Council and has held both positions until now.
Previously, the Politburo assigned Mr. Mai Van Chinh - a member of the 13th Central Committee of the Party and Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Organization Department - to the position of Head of the Central Committee's Mass Mobilization Department.
After restructuring, the Central Organizing Committee has 7 leaders including: Head of the Committee Le Minh Hung; Deputy Heads: Nguyen Quang Duong, Hoang Dang Quang, Phan Thang An, Do Trong Hung, along with 2 concurrent Deputy Heads: Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra and Head of the Committee for Delegate Affairs (under the Standing Committee of the National Assembly) Nguyen Thanh Hai.
