The Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee extended New Year greetings to Nghe An Newspaper, the Vinh City Military Command, and the Le Mao Ward Police.

During his visit to extend New Year greetings to Nghe An Newspaper, Comrade Phan Duc Dong - Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee - provided a brief overview of the city's socio-economic development in 2022.

The city proactively and decisively implemented comprehensive revenue collection solutions from the beginning of the year. As a result, revenue collection in 2022 is estimated at 6,044.8 billion VND, reaching 291.3% of the provincial target, 187.4% of the city People's Council target, and an increase of 136.6% compared to the same period.

Efforts to mobilize resources for urban beautification continue to receive attention and have achieved certain results. The city officially launched its pedestrian street in April 2022, featuring various types of businesses, services, cultural activities, entertainment, and games. The city has also promptly addressed difficulties, obstacles, and long-standing, complex issues, prioritizing measures to accelerate compensation and land clearance for key projects, creating a favorable environment for investors.

The city has completed 22 out of 22 targets and groups of targets set out in Plan No. 269/KH-UBND dated December 15, 2021, on the tasks of socio-economic development in 2022, and the targets in the Resolution of the 24th City Party Congress, term 2020-2025.

In 2023, Comrade Phan Duc Dong expressed his wish for Nghe An Newspaper to continue to accompany and coordinate with Vinh City in carrying out political tasks and socio-economic development goals. This includes focusing on key issues such as: expanding the administrative boundaries of Vinh City, urban infrastructure improvement, developing the night-time economy, building a city of lights, ensuring social security and order, and especially the 60th anniversary of Vinh City's founding and the 235th anniversary of Phuong Hoang Trung Do - Vinh, both to be held in 2023...

During his visit to the Vinh City Military Command, Comrade Phan Duc Dong acknowledged and congratulated the unit on its achievements in 2022, especially the excellent completion of the defense exercise. He noted that the officers and soldiers consistently demonstrated a high sense of responsibility and readiness to fight, protecting security and order in the area.

Comrade Phan Duc Dong expressed his wish that in 2023, the unit would always maintain a high level of vigilance, clearly define its tasks; proactively supplement and prepare weapons and equipment well, practice thoroughly the plans and strategies for combat readiness; coordinate with local Party committees, authorities, and other forces to thoroughly understand the local situation, accurately predict situations, contribute to maintaining security and order, and avoid being caught off guard; and organize activities to celebrate the Lunar New Year in a joyful, economical manner, while maintaining a high level of combat readiness.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tien Luong - Commander of the Vinh City Military Command - expressed his gratitude for the sentiments of Comrade Phan Duc Dong and the delegation, and stated that the unit is determined to complete all assigned tasks in 2023. The unit has proactively implemented preparations for Tet holiday duty and celebrating the Lunar New Year, ensuring a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere for officers and soldiers while remaining committed to their duties.
