The Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee becomes the Minister of Justice.

On August 26th, at its 8th extraordinary session, with a majority of delegates in favor, the National Assembly passed a resolution approving the appointment of Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh, Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, as Minister of Justice for the 2021-2026 term, with 426 out of 426 delegates present voting in favor.

The new Minister of Justice, Nguyen Hai Ninh, succeeds Le Thanh Long, who was approved by the National Assembly to be appointed as Deputy Prime Minister.

Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh was born in 1976 in Binh Minh commune, Khoai Chau district, Hung Yen province. He holds a PhD in Law and a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration. Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh was an alternate member of the 12th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and a full member of the 13th Central Committee.

In 2006, Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh served as Deputy Director of the Legal Department, Central Internal Affairs Commission. A year later, he became Deputy Director of the Legal and Judicial Reform Department, Central Party Office.

In 2013, Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh served as Director of the Department of Law and Judicial Reform, and Secretary to the Chief of the Central Party Office.

In November 2014, Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh was transferred to the Executive Committee of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee. In December 2014, he held the position of Vice Chairman, and later the Standing Vice Chairman of the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee.

In March 2019, Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh became Deputy Chief of the Central Party Office.

In April 2021, he was assigned and appointed by the Politburo to participate in the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, and has held the position of Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee to this day.
