Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duc Trung met with voters in Hung Tien commune (Nam Dan district).

On the morning of May 22nd, Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and representative of the Provincial People's Council - met with voters in Hung Tien commune before the mid-year session of the Provincial People's Council in 2025, term 2021-2026.

Also present at the meeting with voters was Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duc - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Nam Dan District Party Committee, and representative of the Provincial People's Council.

Attending the conference were comrades: Nguyen Viet Hung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Internal Affairs; Le Thi Hoai Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Health; along with leaders of departments, agencies and Nam Dan district.

Speaking at the conference, voter Nguyen Duy Ty - Secretary of the Party Branch and Head of Bo An Hamlet - suggested that the province research and consider investing in a branch road from Da Market (Hung Tien Commune) passing through Bo An Hamlet, connecting to National Highway 46 - Nhan Thap Temple, in order to maximize the socio-economic benefits in the short and long term.

Regarding the same issue of transportation, voter Nguyen Van Quy - Secretary of the Party Branch of Bo Duc hamlet - stated that the project to build a road connecting the northern ring road (Nam Linh commune) to Con But market (Hung Tien commune), which passes through Hung Tien commune for about 4km, is progressing slowly, causing many difficulties for the people in general, and the households on both sides of the road in particular.

Therefore, voter Nguyen Van Quy suggested that the province and district continue to allocate funds and urge the construction unit to speed up the progress so that the project can be completed soon, reducing difficulties for the people whenever they have to travel along this road.

While affirming that the policy of merging provinces, abolishing district levels, and reorganizing commune-level administrative units has received strong support and approval from the people, voter Nguyen Cong Huu - Vice Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Hung Tien commune - stated that from August 1, 2025, part-time commune-level officials will cease their activities. However, to date, there is still no specific support mechanism for these officials.

Therefore, voter Nguyen Cong Huu suggested that all levels and sectors should pay attention and provide support policies for this group so that they can find new jobs and stabilize their lives.

Voter Nguyen Thi Lien, head of Nhan Hau hamlet, stated that in 2018, Nghe An province implemented a policy of merging hamlets. Currently, most hamlets have 350 households or more, with some unique, isolated hamlets having over 200 households. Therefore, she requested that the government reconsider merging hamlets because the current hamlet size is appropriate.

At the conference, voters in Hung Tien commune requested continued attention to adjusting agricultural land prices when the State reclaims land; regulating water resources for agricultural production; creating conditions for people to have their waterway vehicles inspected; and facilitating administrative procedures for the people...

The Department of Internal Affairs, the Department of Health, the Department of Construction, and Nam Dan district responded to, discussed, and clarified the opinions and recommendations of voters regarding policies for part-time commune-level officials; the merger of hamlets and villages; and the implementation of road projects...

Speaking at the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung stated that, despite the challenging circumstances from the beginning of 2025 until now, the socio-economic development results of the province in general and Nam Dan district in particular have been very positive; especially, the province has organized many meaningful events and activities to commemorate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth.

Following the policies and guidelines of the Central Government, Nghe An province has resolutely and decisively implemented the reorganization of the administrative apparatus, the restructuring of commune-level administrative units, and the establishment of a two-tiered local government model with the goal of bringing the government closer to the people, better serving their needs; this has received high consensus from officials, Party members, the people, and voters.

In addition, the province is focusing on preparing for the successful organization of Party congresses at all levels, leading up to the 14th National Party Congress, with two important contents: developing congress documents and personnel plans; achieving the 10.5% growth target and implementing the four key resolutions issued by the Politburo.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung highly appreciated the frank and responsible opinions of voters regarding the common good and the development of the locality and the province, and he directly discussed, answered, and accepted the voters' opinions and suggestions.

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that the voters' recommendations regarding transportation issues are absolutely correct. Therefore, from now until July 1, 2025, Nam Dan district must focus on implementing land clearance, allocating capital, and accelerating the progress of projects. After that date, the Department of Construction should pay attention to finding solutions to ensure the projects are implemented on schedule and achieve the set goals.

Appreciating the consensus and agreement of voters in implementing the policy of rearranging commune-level administrative units, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung said that they must wait for guidance from the Central Government on policies to support part-time commune-level officials. Under these circumstances, the province will continue to study policies to support part-time commune-level officials affected after the commune mergers.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung emphasized that in the coming period, the province will direct agencies, units, and localities to consider and resolve voters' requests within their authority; and continue to create the most favorable conditions for people in resolving administrative procedures, especially after the abolition of the district level and the reorganization of commune-level administrative units.

The province will also continue to work alongside authorities at all levels to achieve socio-economic development goals, aiming for the ultimate goal of improving people's lives and creating the most favorable conditions for fulfilling their needs and demands.
