Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Khac Than congratulated the Department of Education and Training on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day.

The delegation included: Comrade Ngoc Kim Nam - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Provincial Party Committee; Le Van Giap - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office; Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; Ho Xuan Bay - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Department, and leaders of Thanh Vinh ward.

Receiving the delegation were Professor Dr. Thai Van Thanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department; along with other leaders of the Department and specialized departments and divisions.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Khac Than extended his deepest gratitude and best wishes for health and happiness to all cadres, civil servants, and employees in the Education sector.

We wish all teachers throughout the province to always maintain their enthusiasm and dedication to excellently fulfill their duties and further develop the province's education system.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Khac Than acknowledged, highly appreciated, and commended the proud achievements of the province's education sector in the past period. This demonstrates that the quality of education and training continues to improve. In the past academic year, many students achieved high results in international and national examinations.

In 2025, the Education sector proactively advised the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial People's Council to issue many mechanisms and policies to promote educational development. The sector also focused on improving the capacity of cadres and teachers at all levels of education.

Despite limited resources, the sector has advised on and implemented investments in infrastructure at schools. Party building and political and ideological education continue to be maintained. Activities are conducted in accordance with regulations, thereby contributing to building an increasingly strong political system and making a positive contribution to the task of building and developing the province.

Despite the achievements, although attention and investment have been given to infrastructure, limited resources have prevented it from meeting expectations. The qualifications and capabilities of a small number of staff and teachers do not yet meet the requirements. Local teacher shortages and surpluses still occur in the province.

Discussing and outlining the important tasks of the Education sector in the coming period, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Khac Than stated that, first and foremost, the sector needs to thoroughly understand and seriously implement the Resolutions and Conclusions of the Central Committee and the Politburo on strengthening education and training and orienting the development of preschool and general education until 2030.

In particular, Resolution 71 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development presents extremely favorable opportunities and conditions for consolidating, developing, and upgrading education and training in the coming period. The education sector and all teachers must strictly implement it through specific, effective actions, programs, and plans.

In the coming period, the education sector must continue to advise the province to prioritize investment in school infrastructure with a focused and effective approach. Currently, many teachers in remote and disadvantaged areas are facing significant difficulties, yet they remain passionate about their profession, dedicated to their work, and committed to bringing education to their students.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Khac Than also requested the Education sector and other sectors to continue advising the province on completing the construction of 10 boarding schools for primary and secondary levels in border communes before August 2026.

Considering that training and retraining to improve the capacity and qualifications of teachers is extremely important, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that as the country is undergoing rapid innovation and breakthroughs, the education sector and the teachers themselves must also change and transform to meet the requirements.

To accomplish this task, the Education sector must develop a strategic plan to train and improve the skills and qualifications of teachers throughout the province. Simultaneously, it must focus on providing comprehensive education for students to cultivate a generation of good citizens who are patriotic, intelligent, innovative, creative, enthusiastic, idealistic, and dedicated to contributing to society. At the same time, the sector needs a plan for recruiting and allocating teachers appropriately to meet demand, especially in remote and disadvantaged areas.

Emphasizing the potential and strengths of Nghe An province in its human resources, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Khac Than stated that to fully utilize this strength, education must be a central task and a breakthrough solution is necessary. From there, the goal is to build a high-quality workforce with the skills to meet the labor demands of the new era and the country's development.

Currently, a crucial requirement of the Party and State is to develop science and technology, promote innovation, and facilitate digital transformation in accordance with Resolution 57 of the Politburo. This is a very important driving force for the development of the country and the province in the new era of development.

Based on that perspective and orientation, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Khac Than requested that the Education sector must be a pioneer and leader. Each leader in the sector must demonstrate innovation, aspiration, and inspire teachers and students to contribute to helping the province and the country achieve development goals in the next term.
