Late in the afternoon of October 11th, at the time when workers at the VSIP Nghe An Industrial Park finished their shifts, Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An Province - visited the workers' dormitory.

Also attending were Comrade Phan Van Anh - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and comrades: Phan Duc Dong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Vinh City Party Committee; Thai Thi An Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies; Kha Van Tam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, President of the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor.
At over 5 PM, Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy arrived at the low-grade lodging house at 318 Dang Thai Mai Street, Nghi Kim commune, Vinh city - the residence of 14 workers, mostly from the western districts of Nghe An province.

Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy and Comrade Phan Van Anh - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, along with their delegation, visited the workers' dormitories and listened to their stories about their work, income, and living conditions.
The head of the Provincial Party Committee shared his sympathy for the limited living space and conditions, and hoped that the workers would strive to improve their lives, work diligently, increase their income, and take good care of their children. The Provincial Party Secretary presented gifts to 14 workers in the rented accommodation.


The Provincial Party Secretary expressed his wish that landlords pay attention to and ensure living conditions and security for tenant workers, so that they can alleviate some of their difficulties and feel secure while working far from home.
Earlier, at a meeting with constituents, the Provincial Party Secretary Thai Thanh Quy, along with leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and National Assembly delegates, presented gifts to 60 workers in particularly difficult circumstances.


The scale of businesses and the workforce in the province continue to develop both in quantity and quality, bringing about many extremely positive factors. Nghe An currently has more than 13,000 operating businesses and 230,000 workers, ranking 9th nationwide and 2nd in the North Central region.

The total number of trade union members is nearly 188,000, of which nearly 100,000 are workers in enterprises, accounting for almost 60%, making a significant contribution to the socio-economic development achievements of the province.
