Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh visits Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of April 29th, Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - held a working session with Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School to hear an assessment of the results of the tasks performed in the 2015-2016 school year and some tasks for the coming period.

Also attending were Comrade Le Minh Thong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and representatives from relevant departments and agencies; the entire staff, teachers and students of Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School.

Provincial leaders and representatives from various departments and agencies attended the meeting.

Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School currently has 33 classes with over 1100 students. Over the years, the school has consistently ranked among the top schools nationwide, with over 1200 students achieving national academic excellence awards, and 34 students participating in international and regional Olympiads, winning 7 Gold Medals, 9 Silver Medals, 7 Bronze Medals, and 2 Certificates of Merit.

Former President Truong Tan Sang visited Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School on the occasion of its 40th anniversary.

In particular, from 2006 to the present, Phan Boi Chau High School has had the highest number of subjects entered in and won international and regional awards in the school's history, with many students achieving high awards such as Nguyen Tat Nghia (3 gold medals), Cao Ngoc Thai (2 gold medals), and Nguyen Huy Hoang (1 gold medal and 1 bronze medal).

In addition, Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School is currently implementing the project "Building and developing Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School into a key, high-quality school in the period 2010-2020".

This includes focusing on building a new facility in Nghi An, expanding the school's scale to 45 classes with 1600 students.During the meeting, several teachers and students also expressed their wishes and offered suggestions for the school's further development in the future.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh highly appreciated the dedication and persistent efforts of generations of staff and teachers of Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School over the past 40 years in training many generations of talented students, contributing to the development of the province and the country in many fields.

To develop the school into a key, high-quality institution, the Provincial Party Secretary suggested that the school and the Department of Education and Training research and advise the province on policies to support and attract qualified teachers in order to build a synchronized and high-quality team of staff and teachers.

Furthermore, the school needs to pay more attention to the holistic education of students and career guidance; it needs to connect with and mobilize the contributions of successful alumni, both materially, spiritually, and professionally, so that the school can develop strongly in the future, affirming the pride of Nghe An's educational heritage.

Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh expressed his hope that in the coming time, with the active participation of relevant departments and all the school's staff and teachers, Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School will successfully implement the project to build and develop into a key, high-quality school, contributing to the development of the province and the country.
