The Provincial Party Secretary visits and extends New Year greetings to the family of the late Associate Professor Ninh Viet Giao.
(Baonghean.vn) – On the afternoon of January 24th, Comrade Nguyen Dac Vinh – Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation – visited and extended New Year greetings for the Year of the Rooster 2017 to the family of the late Associate Professor Ninh Viet Giao at the private residence of Mr. Ninh Viet Nam, Block 2, Cua Nam Ward, who is the son of the late Associate Professor.
Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh lit incense in remembrance of the late Associate Professor Ninh Viet Giao, expressing his respect for the life and career of the late Associate Professor in teaching, collecting, and researching the folk culture of Nghe An province.

The late Associate Professor Ninh Viet Giao was originally from Hoang Xuyen commune, Hoang Hoa district, Thanh Hoa province. In 1956, after graduating from Hanoi Pedagogical University, he taught Literature at Huynh Thuc Khang School in Vinh City. Later, he worked at the Nghe An Teacher Training College; the Department of Education (now the Department of Education and Training); and the Party History Research Board of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee.
Throughout his career, the late Associate Professor Ninh Viet Giao authored nearly 60 books on the folk culture of Nghe An province. He was awarded the Third and Second Class Labor Orders by the Government; received the State Prize for Literature and Arts; and was recognized by the Vietnam Book of Records Center as the person with the most research works on the folk culture of Nghe An province in 2013.

On behalf of the family, Mr. Ninh Viet Nam thanked the Provincial Party Secretary; and also stated that the children of the late Associate Professor Ninh Viet Giao are discussing donating the entire book collection, in accordance with the late Associate Professor Ninh Viet Giao's will, to the Nghe An Provincial Library, in order to promote the value of the late Associate Professor's research works and serve the needs of readers interested in learning about the folk culture of Nghe An province.
On the occasion of the traditional Lunar New Year, the Provincial Party Secretary sent New Year greetings to the entire family of the late Associate Professor Ninh Viet Giao; and also stated that he would discuss with the leaders of the Department of Culture and Sports and the Nghe An Provincial Library to receive and arrange the book collection of the late Associate Professor Ninh Viet Giao when the family donates it.
