Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union presents gifts to flood victims in Nghe An.

(Baonghean.vn) – On the afternoon of October 18th, a delegation from the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, led by Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Luong – Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, visited and presented gifts to flood victims in Hung Nguyen and Nam Dan districts. Accompanying the delegation was Comrade Pham Tuan Vinh – Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union.

The delegation presented 20 gift packages to 20 households in Hung Trung commune, Hung Nguyen district. This is a locality where 70% of the population are Catholic and suffered significant damage from the recent floods.

During the visit, the delegation directly visited and offered support to the family of Mr. Hoang Nghia Sinh in Hamlet 1, who suffered heavy losses, losing two acres of fish ponds, 2 hectares of lemon trees, and 2 acres of banana trees. Mr. Sinh unfortunately suffered an accident and is currently receiving treatment at the hospital, further exacerbating his difficult circumstances after the floods.

The delegation also visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to the family of two sisters, Vo Thi Hoan and Vo Thi Huyen, in Hamlet 4, a poor household in the commune, who also suffered heavy losses in the recent floods. Ms. Hoan is currently taking care of Ms. Huyen, who is ill, and their situation is very difficult.

Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Nguyen Ngoc Luong, expressed his condolences to the family of Ms. Vo Thi Hoan for their losses.

The delegation presented gifts to the people of Hung Trung commune, Hung Nguyen district.

Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Nguyen Ngoc Luong, shared his condolences for the losses and damages suffered by the people of Hung Trung commune due to the impact of floods and heavy rains; he encouraged the people to overcome difficulties and quickly stabilize production and their lives.

In the spirit of solidarity with the people of Central Vietnam, Comrade Nguyen Ngoc Luong stated that the Central Youth Union has mobilized and called for support to share some of the difficulties faced by the people; at the same time, he instructed the Provincial Youth Union and grassroots Youth Union organizations to continue their efforts to help the people in the flood-affected areas.

Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union Nguyen Ngoc Luong and other members of the delegation offered condolences to the family of Pham Ngoc Hoang.

The delegation also visited Pham Ngoc Hoang, born in 2003, a student in class 8B at Nam Kim Secondary School, residing in Tam Giac hamlet, Nam Kim commune, Nam Dan district. He was swept away by floodwaters on the morning of October 15, 2016, while on his way to school.

Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union Nguyen Ngoc Luong and members of the delegation shared their condolences with the family. The Central Committee of the Youth Union, the Central Council of the Young Pioneers, and the Nghe An Provincial Youth Union also presented gifts to encourage the family of Pham Ngoc Hoang.
