The "No Left Turn" and "No U-turn" signs are often confusing for drivers.
Drivers are permitted to make a U-turn when encountering a "no left turn" sign, but many drivers are still unaware of this change.
According to the old regulations from 2012, the "no left turn" sign (P123a) meant prohibiting vehicles from making U-turns. However, since 2016, the new Regulation 41 issued by the Ministry of Transport (effective from November 1st) stipulates that the "no left turn" sign no longer prohibits vehicles from making U-turns.

Specifically, "To indicate a prohibition against turning left or right (in the direction of the arrow) at intersections, a 'no left turn' or 'no right turn' sign must be placed; the sign does not prohibit U-turns."
With the "no left turn" sign specifically for cars (P103c) in Regulation 41/2016, there is no concept that "if cars are prohibited from turning left, then U-turns are also prohibited".

Regarding the prohibition of U-turns, the regulations have added new signs with specific provisions: No left turn and no U-turn; No right turn and no U-turn; No left turn and no U-turn for cars; No right turn and no U-turn for cars.
