Nikki Jurcutz, CEO of the Australian Parents - Little Hearts Education organization, shared that a mother's breast milk turned green after she contracted Covid-19.

"The antibodies in the mother's milk are becoming active, causing the milk to change color," Jurcutz explained.

"When a mother breastfeeds, her body performs tasks similar to scouring all its organs to produce breast milk perfectly for her baby."

Breast milk is often called "liquid gold" because of its ability to tailor nutrients to the baby's needs.

Ashmiry, a mother of two, shared the photo of two bags of breast milk before and after contracting the SARS-CoV-2 virus. She said, “I really wanted to share this photo. The image tells me something is happening in my body and my children’s.”

Although green breast milk is believed to be a result of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, not all mothers experience this phenomenon.

Breast milk turning green can also be caused by food and drinks. Experts advise mothers not to panic when they see this color change.

The Australian Breastfeeding Association notes that green breast milk is likely to appear after a woman consumes large amounts of green foods such as vegetables, kelp, seaweed supplements, or natural vitamins.

According to Goldilacts consultants, "When women breastfeed, the entire bodies of both mother and child are scanned to determine exactly what needs to be added to the milk for the baby's health."

The color of breast milk changes due to an increase in immunoglobulins, white blood cells—cells that fight disease.
