In the fast-paced world of popular culture,Nghe An dialectNo longer a humble "material" used only within villages, thanks to the boundless creativity of the younger generation, this distinctive, warm, and sometimes "cool" vocal tone has become a unique artistic DNA, reaching beyond borders. The singer born in 1998 from Nghi Loc, 7Dnight (real name Ngo Tuan Dat), has achieved this.

7Dnight (real name Ngo Tuan Dat) included the "Nghe An Dialect Dictionary" in his work "37 Here".

Alongside 7Dnight's song "It's Okay," which dominated the Top 50 of Spotify Korea, is a series of songs using local dialects, read in the Nghi Loc accent, such as "It's a bit Nghe An," "That's all," "Nhan," etc. With colloquialisms like "cho mo," "gua lang," "troc tru," "truot chac," etc., he has proven the potential of local dialects when combined with global Hip-hop. This difference and authenticity have created a trend, a powerful statement: the Nghe An dialect is not just for people from Nghe An, but can conquer any ear that loves novelty and individuality.

While 7Dnight uses the edginess of Rap to tell stories, in another niche, many young people choose the Nghe An dialect to whisper, to soothe their souls with poetry. Phan Quang Phong and Nguyen The Manh are two typical representatives, creating a surprising phenomenon in online literature.

The young man Nguyen The Manh is famous for his unique and unpretentious poems in the Nghe An dialect.

A common thread among them is the outpouring of emotion when using the language that is "ingrained in their very being." They don't need to constrain themselves with the rules of standard Vietnamese, but let their emotions flow naturally, in the familiar rhythm of their homeland. Their poems, whether in six-line stanzas or free verse, possess a simplicity and unpretentiousness that touches the memories of millions of people living far from home. It is this sincerity that has transformed these poems into viral phenomena on social media, becoming the whispered expressions of nostalgia for home.

Nguyen The Manh shared: "For me, the Nghe An dialect is not just a language for communication; it's also a means of expressing my feelings. Writing poetry in the Nghe An dialect feels much easier than in standard Vietnamese, because it's how I write to satisfy my longing for my homeland and my parents."

Two poetry collections by Nguyen The Manh.

Manh never expected that the poems he wrote out of nostalgia would be so well-received by the public. Even more surprisingly, a publisher proactively approached him and offered to publish his collections of poems in the Nghe An dialect. This is proof of the inherent appeal of this language when placed in the right context and conveyed with genuine emotion. And Manh doesn't keep these intellectual creations to himself. He readily allows everyone to use his poems freely, with a simple wish: that the Nghe An dialect be loved and spread more widely.

Nguyen Huong Viet (nickname Lem) is well-liked by the students in her local dialect class.

With a unique background (her paternal hometown is Thanh Chuong, her mother is Ha Tinh, and she moved to Vinh after the second grade), Nguyen Huong Viet (born in 1999), known by the nickname Lem, has the ability to switch between many different regional accents. In her popular "local dialect class" series, the clips in the Nghe An dialect are always the most popular and evoke the most emotion for Lem. Lem confided: "Each region has its own charm. But every time I speak in the Nghe An dialect, I feel the most familiar and close, not only because it's my hometown dialect, but also because more than anyone else, I understand and cherish the simplicity and genuineness of the people here."

Unable to speak many regional accents, Vo Tran Thu Uyen (born in 1998) is the person behind a series of clips with a distinct Dien Chau accent, loved for her "sarcastic and feisty" yet incredibly innocent and genuine personality. After accidentally playing a Dien Chau girl in a comedy clip, Uyen became so popular with viewers that she was stuck with that role in all her subsequent scripts. Although she tried changing her image many times, Uyen ultimately decided to stick with and build the image of an "adorable Dien Chau girl" in people's hearts. Uyen also contributed to spreading the Nghe An-language poems of Nguyen The Manh, demonstrating the connection and mutual support among young people who love the Nghe An dialect.

Similarly, the series of clips featuring the distinct Nghe An accent by Nguyen Van Tuan (born in 1995 - from Van Tu commune) from far-off Australia is also loved for its simplicity, authenticity, and unique Nghe An style.
