VTV editor attacked by Quang Linh Vlogs fans.

News anchors Son Lam and Thu Hien of Vietnam Television (VTV) are facing a wave of backlash from the online community, especially fans of Quang Linh Vlogs, after their program "Chuyen Dong 24h" aired a news report about false advertising on social media.

Immediately after the program aired, the VTV24 fanpage and the personal Facebook pages of the two presenters became targets of attacks from numerous fans of Quang Linh Vlogs. Many people claimed that Son Lam and Thu Hien had made sarcastic and even insulting remarks about Quang Linh and Hang Du Muc in the news broadcast.

On the evening of March 16th, TV presenter Son Lam posted a video on TikTok to explain the situation. He affirmed that his family are also fans of Quang Linh Vlogs, but he emphasized:"Each matter should be handled separately; everything needs to be clear and precise. Praise should be given clearly, and criticism should be given clearly."

In the video, the male presenter quotes the Press Law regarding the functions and powers of the press in discovering and highlighting good people, while simultaneously combating illegal acts and negative phenomena in society. He expresses his belief that good and talented people like Quang Linh will not easily "degenerate" and will know how to listen and correct their mistakes when they stumble.

Notably, Son Lam also revealed that the Quang Linh Vlogs group contacted him and apologized for unintentionally dragging him into this controversy. He even publicly shared a message from Quang Linh Vlogs sent through a colleague.

After posting the explanatory video, TV presenter Son Lam's TikTok account was switched to private mode. At the same time, TV presenter Thu Hien also disabled comments on her personal TikTok videos.

According to our research, some fans of Quang Linh Vlogs have dug up past statements by TV presenter Son Lam, including his public expression of admiration for Quang Linh on television in 2022. This has led them to believe that Son Lam has "changed his mind" and is showing a negative attitude towards their idol.

Furthermore, many fans of Quang Linh Vlogs and Hang Du Muc believe that the trio of "Chi Em Rot" have realized their mistake, sincerely apologized, and are in the process of rectifying it. They argue that VTV's "Weekly Highlights" news program continues to "emphasize" this issue, not giving the KOLs a chance to correct their mistakes and potentially putting them in a difficult position.

The controversial advertising campaign for vegetable candy by the trio Thùy Tiên, Hằng Du Mục, and Quang Linh has caused a stir in public opinion recently. The product was advertised as having a high fiber content, but actual testing revealed a much lower figure than advertised. Following this, Hằng Du Mục and Quang Linh Vlogs apologized to their audience for the misleading advertising of the vegetable candy.

On the afternoon of March 14th, the Department of Broadcasting, Television and Electronic Information concluded that Quang Linh Vlogs and Hang Du Muc were the hosts of the livestream selling vegetable candy products. Thuy Tien served as a guest.

During the meeting, all three admitted their गलती (mistake) in providing false product information. The Department of Broadcasting, Television and Electronic Information issued administrative penalties to Pham Quang Linh and Nguyen Thi Thai Hang for false advertising that misled consumers about the quality of the product. The specific penalty amount has not yet been announced. Miss Thuy Tien was not penalized.
