Grateful to you, teachers...
These days in November, with affection, gratitude, and appreciation… thousands of wishes have been sent by students to their teachers. This is also the most precious gift, the belief that keeps teachers dedicated to the noble profession of educating, silently imparting knowledge and skills to generations of students…
The "lights of knowledge"
TowardsVietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20thMany activities have been launched by Nghi Loc 4 High School. Among them, the "Teachers in My Eyes" competition has become a special space for students to express their feelings and gratitude to their teachers.
The competition was conducted in the form of creative videos, without any staging, polished shots, or arrangement… Yet, it was the genuine emotions and stories written by the students themselves that became meaningful. Even the simple words were enough to warm the hearts of any teacher.

The essay by the students of class 10C2 begins with the pure emotions of the young students who have just entered high school: "Teachers are silent heroes. Although they don't wear capes, they possess compassionate hearts and boundless wisdom." From those simple thoughts, the students spoke about each teacher with sincere appreciation, especially Ms. Vo Thi Loan - Geography teacher and homeroom teacher, whom they affectionately called "the mother of class 10C2".
For the students, she not only imparts systematic knowledge but also teaches them how to study, how to live, and how to behave kindly. The students are also grateful because, despite the pressure of being a homeroom teacher and the naivety of her 15- and 16-year-old students, she remains patient, never harshly reprimanding them, and always encouraging them whenever the class faces difficulties.
In another video, the students of class 11C1 expressed: "Even a single word taught by a teacher is valuable. We dedicate all our love to our teachers on November 20th." And with their slow, heartfelt storytelling, each film they recorded became a beautiful memory of their teachers.
That was Ms. Trang, who was both our homeroom teacher and our Literature teacher, the one who taught the class how to appreciate the beauty of literature, how to love, how to share, and how to fully experience the emotions of our school years.
That's Ms. Thuy - a teacher who is always passionate about every page of history. Through meaningful lessons, she has led her students back to the glorious past to appreciate it, be grateful to those who sacrificed, and from there build ideals, beliefs, and patriotism in her students.

There's Ms. Chau, the Geography teacher, who helped students open the door to the vast world; and Ms. Trang, the Technology teacher, whose lessons helped students develop dexterity and meticulousness in each product. From there, they better understood the value of labor, fostering creativity and practical skills.
The entire class is also grateful to Ms. Thanh, our math teacher. In their eyes, although she is always strict, she is very dedicated. Therefore, every number and calculation under her guidance is no longer difficult, and after each lesson, it is her patience and meticulousness that helps the students improve every day…
Speaking of the teachers at Nghi Loc 4 High School, many classes have collectively called them "lights of knowledge." Thanks to their efforts, the teachers have illuminated the path for their students, helping them get closer to their own aspirations each day. Teachers not only teach academics but also teach students how to be good people.
Thank you, teachers, for teaching us that, regardless of future success or failure, the most important thing is to become a good person, to be kind, grateful, and thankful…

Receiving the affection of her students, teacher Ton Nu Thuy Trang - a technology teacher - shared: "Watching the videos my students sent me truly moved me. Each image, each wish, though simple, was sincere, making me clearly feel the love they have for their teachers. It's a priceless gift, a motivation for us to continue loving our profession and becoming even closer to our students."”.
At Dien Chau 2 High School, each video shared by students on the theme "Deep Memories of Teachers and School" is a touching expression of gratitude. In the videos, students mention each teacher through very familiar stories. For them, teachers are not only educators but also "mothers and fathers," imparting knowledge, accompanying students through joys and sorrows, and even during the stressful years of exam preparation.
In the video, a student shared about Ms. Pham Thi Hieu, their History teacher and homeroom teacher for class 12C7: "There were times when the whole class wanted to give up because we were so tired, but she always encouraged us, saying: 'Just try a little harder, and everything will be alright.'" Her unwavering yet gentle nature became a pillar of support that helped class 12C7 grow. "Thanks to our teachers, our high school years were truly beautiful and memorable," the video concludes with this heartfelt expression of gratitude.

The video creation contest launched by the Youth Union of Dien Chau 2 High School to commemorate the 43rd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day attracted participation from all classes. According to Ms. Tran Thi Thu Ha, Secretary of the school's Youth Union, the contest's widespread appeal wasn't due to filming and editing techniques, but rather the students' genuine affection and sincerity for their teachers. Many teachers were moved when watching these simple videos, as they were humble gifts filled with love.
Further motivation
To celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day this year, the Education sector has implemented many meaningful activities. In Vinh Phu ward, Ha Huy Tap Secondary School, Nghi Phu Secondary School, Nghi Duc Secondary School, and Nghi An Secondary School held a joint English festival with the theme "Happy School". The highlight of the festival, in addition to the English-language quiz competition to help students hone their language skills, included many cultural performances and interactions between teachers and students, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere.
Sharing about this activity, the teacher Ha Le Hoa Binh, Principal of Ha Huy Tap Secondary School, said that the program, with the support of parents and the ward government, demonstrates concern for educational activities and the spirit of building a "happy school" environment: "We believe that November 20th is not only a day for teachers but also a joyful day for the whole school. Therefore, through these activities, teachers and students will love and bond even more, so that every day at school is a happy day for the students. From there, it creates motivation to strive and achieve high academic achievements. That is also the greatest gift we hope to receive."

For teachers at Truong Thi Primary School in Truong Vinh ward, the mass performance by nearly 1,000 students with the theme "Wishing teachers love and support" truly brought many emotions. Meanwhile, Hung Hoa Primary School was also vibrant with its photo contest "Memorable Moments," capturing beautiful images of teachers and students.
We are truly happy to receive such warm and loving feelings from our students. It is this love from the students that motivates us teachers to stay committed to the noble profession of educating future generations and to strive to continuously learn and improve in order to live up to their trust and expectations.
Ms. Hoang Thi Hoa Ly - Principal of Truong Thi Primary School

Alongside activities at the grassroots level, the Department of Education and Training also recently presented awards from the "Educational Talent Development Fund" to 29 outstanding educators, representing over 55,000 cadres, teachers, and staff throughout the sector. Although these teachers come from diverse regions and educational levels, they share a common trait: impeccable professional ethics, dedication, strong expertise, and a desire to contribute to the noble cause of educating future generations.
Coming from Tay Hieu High School and being the first teacher from the school to be honored with this prestigious award, Mr. Cao Phuong Bac - a computer science teacher - said: "I graduated in 2022 and have been working at this school in a disadvantaged area ever since. Over the years, despite many difficulties and hardships, I have always felt fortunate to be doing the job I love and to have the trust of my students and colleagues. For me, this award is not only proof of my efforts but also a reminder to strive even harder, for my work, for my students, and for the school I have been dedicated to."
