The new year's dawn is breaking over Tho Chu Island – the southwestern frontier island of our homeland. From a remote and challenging island region, Tho Chu is undergoing a powerful transformation thanks to the special attention of the Party and the State, along with the unwavering determination of the military and people to stay on the island and protect the sea.

Tho Chu Island is a strategically important island in the southwest of Vietnam, covering an area of ​​approximately 14 square kilometers. Geographically, Tho Chu Island is located at latitude 09 degrees 23 minutes North and longitude 103 degrees 30 minutes East, about 100 km from Phu Quoc Island and more than 220 km from the mainland; the highest point of the island above sea level is 164 m.
