Masked man climbed over fence to enter house and arrested 2 French people, demanding debt of 7 billion VND
A group of about 10 masked men broke into the house and illegally detained 4 people, including 2 French nationals, to collect debt.
On March 28, Can Tho City Police said that the Investigation Police Agency had just arrested 8 subjects for "illegally detaining people" to collect debt.
The 8 arrested subjects include: Nguyen Van Tuan (Tuan Hero, 42 years old), Ngo Nguyen Thanh Tuan (48 years old), Nguyen Minh Vuong (32 years old), Le Van Duong (31 years old), Nguyen Phuoc Thuan (35 years old, all living in Ho Chi Minh City), Nguyen Ba An (29 years old, living in Ba Ria - Vung Tau), Nguyen Thanh Hieu (31 years old, living in Binh Thuan) and Le Quoc Tuan (29 years old).

This group of people boldly arrested 4 people, including 2 French nationals, to collect debt.
Can Tho City Police said that through the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic in the area, especially controlling foreigners coming to reside and work.
At around 7:20 a.m. on March 26, police discovered a group of about 10 people wearing masks, riding in 3 cars, climbing over the fence and breaking the door of a house in An Thoi residential area, Cach Mang Thang 8 street, Binh Thuy district, entering inside to control and arrest 4 people (including 2 French nationals), and taking them to Ho Chi Minh City.

Through investigation and prosecution, at around 8:00 a.m. the same day, Can Tho City Police arrested Tuan Hero and Thanh Tuan, while the two subjects were in Long Ho district, Vinh Long.
Continuing the hot pursuit, the police force continued to arrest the remaining subjects, safely rescuing the 4 detainees.
Through initial investigation, the 4 people arrested had borrowed about 7 billion VND from Tuan Hero. This group of people were unable to pay the debt so they fled to Can Tho City.
However, Tuan's group tracked him down, controlled him, and arrested him to collect the debt. "After more than a day, the City Police clarified and arrested 8 subjects involved in illegal detention," Can Tho Police said.
