(Baonghean.vn) - Shortly after being released from prison for robbery and theft, Nguyen Ba Thien once again caused trouble at a watch shop, assaulted the owner, and stole property.
On October 13, 2021, the Nghi Loc District Police announced that they had successfully investigated and apprehended the suspect in a robbery case nearly 48 hours after the crime was committed.
Previously, on October 11, 2021, the Nghi Thai Commune Police received a report from Mr. Do Dinh Th. (born in 1984), residing in Thai Son hamlet, Nghi Thai commune (Nghi Loc district), stating that: Around 4 PM on October 9, 2021, while he was selling watches at his family's shop in Thai Tho hamlet, Nghi Thai commune, a young man wearing a face mask and riding a Sirius motorbike entered, verbally abused and caused a disturbance, and then slapped Mr. Th. in the face.

At that moment, Mr. Th.'s wife, who sold clothes nearby, ran over and was slapped in the face by the suspect. Afterward, the suspect continued to cause trouble, breaking a watch glass and the glass of a watch box, then demanded that Mr. Th. give him two watches, a Seiko and a Curren (worth approximately 2 million VND). After fitting them onto his wrist, the suspect demanded that Mr. Th. give them to him as a gift before getting into his vehicle.run away.
Based on information from the public, the Criminal, Economic, and Drug Crime Investigation Team of Nghi Loc District Police, in coordination with the police of Nghi Thai and Nghi Phong communes, conducted a thorough investigation, focusing on verifying and identifying prominent suspects both within and outside the district.

By 3 PM on October 11, 2021, through professional investigative methods, the Nghi Loc District Police investigated and apprehended Nguyen Ba Thien (born in 1988), residing in Hamlet 8, Nghi Phong Commune (an individual with two previous convictions for robbery and theft, recently released from prison in March 2021). The seized items included: two watches and one motorbike.
At the investigative agency, the suspect honestly confessed to his criminal acts. Currently, the Criminal Investigation Department of Nghi Loc District Police has placed the suspect under temporary criminal detention and is continuing the investigation to clarify the case.
