In mid-October this year, the company officially introduced the new generation 5-Series to consumers worldwide. However, it wasn't until recently that BMW released detailed information and images of the plug-in hybrid version of the 5-Series, called the 530e iPerformance. |

The heart of the 2017 BMW 530e iPerformance is a powertrain consisting of a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine producing a maximum power of 184 horsepower and a maximum torque of 320 Nm. This engine is paired with an electric motor delivering a maximum power of 95 horsepower and a maximum torque of 250 Nm. |

Furthermore, the 2017 BMW 530e iPerformance is equipped with a 9.2 kWh high-voltage battery pack located beneath the rear seats. This placement allows BMW to create a 410-liter luggage compartment for the 2017 530e iPerformance. According to BMW, this battery pack only takes approximately 5 hours to fully charge using standard household electricity. If using the BMW i Wallbox fast charging system, the charging time is reduced to under 3 hours. |
