The Provincial Military Command inaugurated the 2026 training course for militia and self-defense force officers.
On the morning of January 7th, the Provincial Military Command organized the opening ceremony of the 2026 training course for militia and self-defense force officers. Colonel Tran Vo Viet, Deputy Commander of the Provincial Military Command, attended and delivered a speech guiding the training course.
Attending the training course were representatives from the heads of departments and divisions of the Provincial Military Command.
Over the course of three days (from January 7-9, 2026), 130 commanders of the Military Command Boards of communes and wards throughout the province will study fundamental topics including: Methods and experiences in advising local Party committees and authorities on civil defense; experiences in conducting civil defense combat exercises at the commune and ward levels after the implementation of a two-tiered local government; Circular No. 103/2025/TT-BQP amending and supplementing some articles of joint circulars, circulars, and decisions of the Minister of National Defense on policy matters; building a defense combat plan for the commander of the commune-level Military Command Board; methods of organizing and implementing the selection and recruitment of citizens for military service when implementing a two-tiered local government…

The training aims to standardize the content, programs, organization, and methods of implementing local defense and military work, national defense and security education, civil defense, and the building of militia and self-defense forces; to update new content on the Party's viewpoints, guidelines, policies, and laws of the State, and the tasks of defense and military work at all levels; and to enhance the capacity to organize and carry out assigned tasks.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Colonel Tran Vo Viet, Deputy Commander of the Provincial Military Command, instructed the Organizing Committee of the training course to strictly maintain order and discipline, ensuring the content and program are in accordance with the plan. The instructors must deliver the approved content accurately and completely, closely integrating theory with practice.

Officers participating in the training must demonstrate a sense of responsibility, actively study and discuss, master the knowledge, and apply it flexibly to the practical work of their agencies and units; this will serve as a basis for organizing unified training throughout the provincial armed forces, contributing to improving the quality of training, combat readiness, and successfully completing military and national defense tasks in 2026.
