The Provincial Military Command inspects preparations for receiving the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces.
On December 7th, a delegation from the Provincial Military Command, led by Colonel Phan Dai Nghia - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Commander of the Provincial Military Command, conducted a survey and inspection of the preparations for the ceremony to receive the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces and a meeting with retired and former senior military officers in the province.
Joining the delegation were Colonel Nguyen Ky Hong - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command; members of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the Head of the Provincial Military Command, and leaders of the Staff, Political, and Logistics-Technical departments.
On October 10, 2024, President To Lam signed Decision No. 1009/QD-CTN, conferring the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces on 3 units, including:Armed Forces of Nghe An ProvinceThis is well-deserved recognition for the exceptionally outstanding achievements of the provincial armed forces in combat, combat support, and contributions to the cause of building socialism and defending the Fatherland.
During the inspection, after the assigned agencies and units reported on the results of their preparatory work, the delegation reviewed relevant aspects, including: program content, participants, time, location, publicity, cultural and artistic activities, decorations, displays, and measures to ensure security and safety for the ceremony. The delegation also listened to feedback to improve the organization of the event.
Concluding the inspection, Colonel Phan Dai Nghia emphasized that the ceremony to receive the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces and the meeting with retired senior military officers in the province is an important political event for the officers and soldiers of the provincial armed forces.
To ensure the ceremony is conducted in a solemn, dignified, formal, safe, and economical manner, the Commander of the Provincial Military Command requested that all agencies and units coordinate closely, develop plans, and prepare well for the ceremony, especially meticulously preparing the program and organization; ensuring publicity, security, safety, and health for delegates; and preventing fires and explosions. They should also expedite the remaining tasks to ensure the ceremony is conducted solemnly, in accordance with regulations, with absolute safety, and in line with actual conditions, creating a joyful and enthusiastic atmosphere for officers and soldiers throughout the provincial armed forces.
