The Nghe An Provincial Military Command raises the flag to mark the new year.
On the morning of January 29th (the first day of the Lunar New Year), under the chairmanship of Colonel Phan Dai Nghia - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Military Command organized a flag-raising ceremony and a meeting with officers and soldiers to celebrate the beginning of the New Year of the Snake 2025.
Attending the ceremony were Colonel Pham Dinh Trung - Member of the Standing Committee of the Military Party Committee, Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command; members of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee; heads of the Staff, Political, Logistics and Technical departments, and the entire staff and soldiers of the Provincial Military Command.
At the ceremony, officers and soldiers of the Provincial Military Command solemnly performed the flag-raising ceremony to mark the beginning of the Lunar New Year 2025. Following this, Colonel Phan Dai Nghia, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Commander of the Provincial Military Command, read the New Year's greetings from the Minister of National Defense and commended the agencies and units for their outstanding performance in fulfilling all assigned tasks in 2024.
In 2024, many agencies, units, and individuals received Certificates of Merit and Commendations from the Ministry of National Defense, the 4th Military Region Command, and other levels; the Provincial Military Command was awarded a Commendation Flag by the Ministry of National Defense; the Provincial Military Party Committee received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister for implementing Directive 05 of the Politburo on "Studying and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh"; and the Provincial Party Standing Committee awarded a Certificate of Merit for five consecutive years of outstanding performance (2020-2024). Notably, the Provincial Armed Forces were honored to receive the title of "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" for the second time on October 10, 2024. In addition, agencies and units throughout the Provincial Armed Forces performed well in training and strictly maintained the combat readiness duty regime. Proactively deploy forces and resources to participate in rescue operations, firefighting, and forest fire prevention in the area, and assist people in localities throughout the province in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.
During the Lunar New Year of 2025 (Year of the Snake), agencies and units will strictly maintain combat readiness, organize festive activities to celebrate the New Year for the troops in a joyful, healthy, safe, and economical manner, while maintaining high combat readiness. The Commander of the Provincial Military Command also requested that agencies and units build upon their achievements, overcome limitations and shortcomings, strive for unity and cohesion, build strong and comprehensive agencies and units, build clean and strong Party organizations, and excellently fulfill all assigned tasks.
On the same day, the Military Commands of 20 districts, cities, and towns; Regiment 764 and units under the Provincial Military Command simultaneously held flag-raising ceremonies and gatherings for officers and soldiers to celebrate the beginning of the new year.
