The Provincial Military Command launched the Tree Planting Festival.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 14th, at the Reserve Mobilization Training Center in Nghi Cong Nam commune, Nghi Loc district, the Provincial Military Command organized the launching of the "Tree Planting Festival to Forever Remember Uncle Ho" for the Spring of the Year of the Dragon 2024.
At the launching ceremony, Colonel Hoang Dinh Luan - Deputy Commander of the Provincial Military Command - launched and called on all officers and soldiers of the provincial armed forces to actively participate in the "Tree Planting Festival - Forever Grateful to Uncle Ho," considering this an annual activity at the beginning of the new year at the Provincial Military Command, aiming to propagate and mobilize officers and soldiers to fully understand the meaning and benefits of planting trees.
The leaders of the Provincial Military Command also requested that all agencies and units ensure that all officers and soldiers fully understand the meaning and benefits of planting trees in their respective agencies and units, contributing to building regular, green, clean, and beautiful barracks, as well as planting trees to protect the ecological environment.
Following the motto "Plant a tree, and it will thrive," agencies and units identify planting locations, select suitable, high-quality tree species, and take advantage of favorable weather conditions in each unit to organize tree planting and reforestation efforts to achieve good results.
This year, officers and soldiers of the provincial armed forces are expected to plant more than 50,000 trees, including over 5,000 fruit trees of various kinds and more than 45,000 timber trees and shade trees, newly planted in the grounds of the Provincial Military Command, the grounds of the Military Commands of districts, cities, and towns, and the logistics bases and training grounds of agencies and units throughout the provincial armed forces.
