Politburo approves new Secretary of Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee
Decision 1418 dated July 26 of the Politburo approved Mr. Phan Van Mai to hold the position of Secretary of Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee for the 2015 - 2020 term.
On August 3, in Ben Tre province, Mr. Pham Minh Chinh - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organizing Committee chaired the conference.implementing Politburo decisions on personnel work.

According to Decision No. 1217, dated May 9, the Politburo approved Mr. Vo Thanh Hao, Secretary of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee, to retire from August 1, 2019. Decision No. 1418 dated July 26 of the Politburo approved Mr. Phan Van Mai, member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Ben Tre province to hold the position of Secretary of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term.
On behalf of the Politburo, Mr. Pham Minh Chinh presented the Decisions to Mr. Vo Thanh Hao and Mr. Phan Van Mai.
Mr. Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the efforts and struggles of Mr. Vo Thanh Hao during more than 40 years of work. Regardless of his position or task, Mr. Vo Thanh Hao always fulfilled the political tasks assigned by the Party and the people.
Mr. Pham Minh Chinh congratulated Mr. Phan Van Mai on his appointment as Secretary of Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee. This is a young cadre, matured from the grassroots youth movement, received basic training, and experienced many different positions at the Central and local levels.
Mr. Pham Minh Chinh believes that in his new position, Secretary of Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee Phan Van Mai will continue to inherit the achievements and experiences of his predecessors; together with the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and the Party Executive Committee, focus on leading the successful implementation of political tasks in the locality.
Mr. Phan Van Mai, born in 1973, from Thanh Phu Dong commune, Giong Trom district, Ben Tre province. Political theory level: Advanced; professional level: Bachelor of Foreign Languages, Bachelor of Economics, Master of Economics. Before being approved by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Phan Van Mai held positions such as: Secretary of the Ben Tre Provincial Youth Union, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ben Tre Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Ben Tre Provincial People's Council./.
