The Provincial Military Command conducted a training course on militia and self-defense skills in 2017.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 17th, the Provincial Military Command organized the opening ceremony of the 2017 training course on professional work for the Militia and Self-Defense Force (DQTV).
Over the course of one day, 50 trainees, who are officers and staff in charge of militia and self-defense work from agencies and units under the Provincial Military Command, studied and were equipped with the latest content from the Party, State, and Army on militia and self-defense work.

The training content includes ensuring policies and benefits for the militia force; management skills for platoon leaders, squad leaders, and village militia leaders; organization, development, and expansion of the militia force according to Circular 33/TT-BQP in various units; content and methods for managing and conducting training courses on national defense and security knowledge for various target groups; and training work of the commune, ward, and town military commands…

In particular, the trainees were briefed on the "Resolution on some policies and regulations for militia and self-defense forces and the decentralization of expenditure tasks for militia and self-defense work in Nghe An province," which was recently adopted by the 17th term of the Nghe An Provincial People's Council (2016-2020) on December 16, 2016, at its 3rd session (replacing the previous Resolution No. 45).

Speaking at the training course, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Ha, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command, emphasized: “The militia is the largest force of the local armed forces, playing an important role in ensuring national defense and security, carrying out civilian affairs, rescue and relief work, and preventing and combating storms, floods, and forest fires in the locality; especially in the western border areas, special regions, and coastal areas…”
Therefore, comrades participating in the training course must pay attention to acquiring knowledge, which will serve as a basis for effective implementation in their agencies, units, and localities; building a militia force that ensures both quantity and quality; and contributing to the firm protection of Nghe An province's defense zone in the new era…”.
