The Ministry of Public Security warns against scams involving "case fixing" services.

According to the Ministry of Public Security, during the investigation and verification of information regarding the crime, the Criminal Police Department determined that from May 2023 to January 2024, Le Sy Phong (born in 1997, residing in Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Province) committed acts of fraud.misappropriation of propertyby sophisticated means.

Specifically, Phong provided false information about knowing and having connections with leaders of the People's Public Security Force (at the departmental level under the Ministry of Public Security and at the provincial level) to convince the victims that it was true, causing them to transfer money to Phong to ask these people to "fix" cases for their relatives and influence the process of handling criminal complaints.

After receiving the money, Phong did not fulfill his promise and misappropriated the money the victim had transferred.

Based on the documents and evidence collected, at the end of August 2024, the Investigation Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security issued a Decision to initiate a criminal case, a Decision to prosecute the suspect, and an Arrest Warrant for temporary detention against Le Sy Phong.

The Investigation Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security announces the above-mentioned methods and tactics so that the public is aware, can raise their vigilance, and avoid being scammed out of their property using similar methods.
