The Ministry of Public Security has just issued a notice seeking victims in a fraud case involving the misappropriation of assets at Egroup Education Group Joint Stock Company (Egroup Group) and Egame Investment and Distribution Joint Stock Company.

On August 27th, the Ministry of Public Security announced that the Police Investigation Agency of the Ministry of Public Security had issued a notice seeking victims in the case.fraud and misappropriation of propertyThis occurred at Egroup Education Group Joint Stock Company (Egroup Group) and Egame Investment and Distribution Joint Stock Company.

The investigation into the case determined that, during the period from 2015 to 2023, the defendant Nguyen Ngoc Thuy (also known as Shark Thuy), Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Egroup Corporation and Egame Company, and his accomplices used the legal entity of Egame Company to commit fraudulent acts.

According to the Ministry of Public Security, the defendant Thuy and her accomplices committed fraudulent acts by using fictitious shares of Egroup Corporation to raise capital through various forms of transactions, including selling shares and receiving cash or bank transfers; selling shares and paying with real estate; and borrowing money from investors secured by share ownership.

The investigative police agency of the Ministry of Public Security has identified these investors as victims in the case.

To investigate and conclude the case, and to ensure the rights of the victims are protected according to the law, the Police Investigation Agency requests that victims who have not yet come to work, report, or provide information, documents, or records regarding the purchase or loan secured by ownership of Egroup Corporation shares urgently contact the Police Investigation Agency, Ministry of Public Security.

Victims should contact Room 6, Department of Criminal Investigation of Corruption, Economic Crimes, and Smuggling, 47 Pham Van Dong Street, Cau Giay District, Hanoi City; telephone number 0993.093.865 for guidance.

The Ministry of Public Security stated that if, after the investigation period stipulated by law, the victim does not come forward to cooperate or provide information and documents, the Police Investigation Agency of the Ministry of Public Security will not consider or resolve the case.
