Ministry of Industry and Trade disciplines officials who go to pagoda during working hours
For going to the temple during working hours, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has imposed a disciplinary measure of demotion on Mr. Bui Quang Hung - Director of the Export Support Center, Department of Trade Promotion.
Recently, the Disciplinary Council of the Ministry of Industry and Trade met to review the level of violation and recommend disciplinary action against Mr. Bui Quang Hung - Director of the Export Support Center under the Trade Promotion Agency, Ministry of Industry and Trade, for his behavior of going to the temple at the beginning of the year during working hours.

The 5-member disciplinary council of the Ministry of Industry and Trade met under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister Tran Quoc Khanh, Chairman of the Council.
The Council listened to Mr. Bui Quang Hung, Director of the Export Support Center, present a review of going to the temple at the beginning of the year during working hours and listened to a representative of the Trade Promotion Department report the results of the plenary meeting of the Export Support Center to review the staff who participated in going to the temple at the beginning of the year.
The Council spent time analyzing Mr. Bui Quang Hung's shortcomings as a civil servant and as head of the Export Support Center.
All opinions unanimously agreed that Mr. Bui Quang Hung's behavior was a serious violation of labor discipline, the Law on Cadres and Civil Servants, and especially Directive No. 26/CT-TTg dated September 5, 2016 as well as the Prime Minister's Official Dispatch dated February 2, 2017, which needs to be strictly handled.
In addition, the Council members also acknowledged Mr. Bui Quang Hung's serious, receptive and sincere attitude during the review, especially not using vacation or sick leave as an excuse to justify his actions and accepting a disciplinary measure at a level higher than a warning.
After considering the circumstances, the Council voted by secret ballot to recommend disciplinary action against Mr. Hung.
Based on the vote counting results, the Council unanimously recommended that the Minister of Industry and Trade apply a disciplinary measure of salary reduction to Mr. Bui Quang Hung. On February 22, 2017, the Minister of Industry and Trade signed a disciplinary decision with a salary reduction to Mr. Bui Quang Hung.
Under the direction of the Minister of Industry and Trade, on February 20, 2017, the Disciplinary Council of the Trade Promotion Agency also met to consider and propose disciplinary measures against officials and employees of the Export Support Center who participated in the New Year's festival during working hours. The Council unanimously proposed a warning for 7 Department-level officials of the Center and a reprimand for 2 other officials and employees.
The leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade agreed with this proposal and on February 23, 2017 authorized the Director of the Trade Promotion Agency to sign a disciplinary decision against the above individuals.
