(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of November 23, Infantry Regiment 335, Division 324 (Military Region 4) organized a river crossing in a live-fire exercise at the end of 2017. This is a real combat exercise close to the combat area.

Situation: The 6th Infantry Battalion and the fire team of the 335th Regiment had to secretly cross the Giang River in Thanh Chuong district, Nghe An province.

The mission required carrying personal military equipment as well as heavy firepower weapons such as mortars and anti-aircraft machine guns. The river was nearly 180 meters wide, nearly 5 meters deep, and had strong currents.

By swimming in packs, swimming with weapons and taking advantage of terrain and objects such as: swimming across rivers with infantry weapons, making rafts from trees.

After more than 1 hour of tight command organization and coordination between units, more than 670 officers and soldiers, along with guns, ammunition, military equipment, and combat vehicles, crossed the river absolutely safely.
