Michael Jackson's father passed away

A representative of the Jackson family confirmed the news of Joe Jackson's death onIndependent: "We are deeply saddened by Mr. Jackson's passing and offer our sincerest condolences to Katherine Jackson and his family. Joe was a strong man who always acknowledged his flaws and heroically took his children from a steel mill in Gary, Indiana to worldwide pop stardom." Joe Jackson passed away at the age of 89.
