(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 20, Deputy Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Nguyen Thi Ha attended the ceremony and presented the Decision to appoint the Director of SOS Children's Village Vinh.

Also attending the ceremony were comrades: Le Minh Giang - National Director of SOS Children's Villages Vietnam; Doan Hong Vu - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs; representatives of leaders of agencies and units in the province.

At the ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Ha presented the Decision appointing Comrade Le Ba Luong as Director of SOS Children's Village Vinh.

The Deputy Minister hopes that in the coming time, with the spirit of loving the profession, valuing children, and devoting himself to children, the new Director Le Ba Luong will continue to promote the achievements of previous generations of leaders, taking care of the comprehensive development of disadvantaged children being raised at the Village, building SOS Children's Village Vinh to become increasingly strong and comprehensive...

Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs Doan Hong Vu congratulated the new Director of SOS Children's Village Vinh.

SOS Children's Village Vinh was started in 1990, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday.

Currently, the village has 15 families and 2 youth dormitories, caring for and raising 281 orphans in especially difficult circumstances and poor children who are good at studying.

Representatives of staff, mothers and children being cared for and raised in the village took souvenir photos.

Up to now, SOS Children's Village Vinh has cared for, raised and educated more than 600 orphans and homeless children from Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces. Of these, 110 have gotten married and have stable and happy family lives. Many orphans who have been cared for and raised in the village have now become useful people for society, many of them are teachers, doctors, researchers...
