The appointment term is 5 years, starting from August 1, 2016.

On December 8, 2016, Mr. Vuong Duc Lam issued a decision appointing Mr. Vuong Duc Tang from Chief Accountant to Deputy Head of the Finance and Planning Department of Dong Xoai town.

Continuing on December 29, 2016 (21 days after assuming the position of Deputy Head of Department - PV), Mr. Vuong Duc Tang was transferred from the Finance and Planning Department of the town to work at the People's Committee of Tan Thanh commune (Dong Xoai town), appointed to participate in the Executive Committee and Standing Committee, holding the position of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and acting Chairman of the People's Committee of the commune.

The decision to transfer and reassign Mr. Vuong Duc Tang, former Chairman of Tan Thanh Commune People's Committee, was handed over by Mr. Pham Quoc Minh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Town Party Committee, and Mr. Giang Xuan Son, Vice Chairman of the Dong Xoai Town People's Committee. Mr. Son was also authorized by the former Chairman of the Dong Xoai Town People's Committee, Vuong Duc Lam, to sign all decisions related to the appointment of Mr. Vuong Duc Tang.

The decisions issued just before Mr. Vuong Duc Lam's transfer to the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Binh Phuoc province have raised concerns among the public about whether or not this was a "rapid" appointment, a "last-minute" appointment by the former Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Xoai town.
