The Russian Ministry of Defense changes the format of the Military Forum.
According to sources, the forum's main objective will now be "to strengthen the efforts of product developers and manufacturers serving special military operations."

According to the Russian news agency TASS, RBC reported on August 6th that sources close to the matter revealed that the Russian Ministry of Defense has changed the format of the upcoming Army Exhibition and Forum to focus on the special military operation in Ukraine.
One source said: “The event will be purely business-oriented, with no entertainment or free access. The format of the annual forum has been streamlined and updated, with special military operations becoming the main theme.”
According to sources, the main objective of the forum will now be "to strengthen the efforts of product developers and manufacturers serving special military operations, as well as to promote Russian weapons in foreign markets and showcase new solutions created based on experience from military operations."
According to the forum program obtained by RBC, this year, 15 types of weapons, military equipment, and special equipment will be displayed outdoors. These include the Iskander ballistic missile system, the Tornado-S multiple rocket launcher, the Bastion coastal missile system, the ISDM remote mine-laying system, the Pantsir-S1M missile and artillery system, the Tor-M2K missile system, the TOS-2 heavy flamethrower, tank support combat vehicles, the Kornet-D1 anti-tank missile system, the T-90M tank, the 72B3A tank, the T-80BVM tank, the Malva 152 mm self-propelled howitzer, and the Floks 120 mm self-propelled howitzer.
Rosoboronexport, Russia's state-owned arms export company, will also set up an exhibition booth showcasing 242 types of weapons and equipment geared towards export.
The Army Forum 2024 will be held at the Patriot Exhibition and Congress Center outside Moscow from August 12 to 14. The exhibition area will cover more than 340,000 square meters. Event participants and guests will be able to see a wide variety of weapons, military equipment, and specialized devices.
