The 4th Military Region Staff Department deploys its tasks for 2016.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 17th, the General Staff of Military Region 4 held a Military-Political Conference to summarize the tasks of 2015 and to implement the directions and tasks for 2016. Major General Dang Trong Quan, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Military Region 4, chaired the conference.
In 2015, the Party Committee of the General Staff Department led the agency and units in effectively performing their functions, guiding and directing military and national defense tasks. Notably, this included maintaining strict discipline and combat readiness, training, and building a regular army at all levels; building strong and comprehensive agencies and units; and successfully organizing Party congresses at all levels, including the 12th Party Congress of the General Staff Department (2015-2020 term).

In 2016, the General Staff of Military Region 4 identified breakthroughs in improving the quality of leading officers in operational-level staff agencies and leading officers in subordinate units; and improving the quality of building a standardized system, managing discipline, and ensuring safety.
Focus on advising and directing agencies and units to strictly maintain combat readiness regimes, closely monitor the situation, and promptly handle any incidents; fully consolidate organizational structures and personnel, and effectively carry out recruitment, training, education, and refresher courses on national defense and security knowledge for all personnel.
Emphasis will be placed on effectively carrying out political education, ideological guidance, and disciplinary management; improving the quality of training for personnel in the General Staff's agencies and units, striving for 100% of trainees to meet requirements upon completion, with 80%-85% achieving good or excellent results; preventing serious disciplinary violations and reducing the rate of minor violations to below 0.2%; and ensuring absolute safety in training, exercises, work, and traffic participation. The goal is to have 100% of Party organizations successfully complete their tasks, with 47%-50% achieving the status of clean and strong Party organizations.
