The General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and the Command of Military Region 4 surveyed the live-fire area during a regional defense exercise.
On the morning of March 18th, a delegation from the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and the Command of Military Region 4, led by Major General Le Van Dang - Deputy Director of the Operations Department, General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, conducted a survey of the live-fire area for the 2026 Nghe An province regional defense exercise.
Joining the delegation were Major General Nguyen Khac Huy – Deputy Director of the Department of Military Training and Schools, General Staff; and Colonel Hoang Tu Xinh – Deputy Director of the Department of Electronic Warfare, General Staff.
Representing Military Region 4 were Major General Le Hong Nhan – Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Military Region 4; and Colonel Pham Van Dung – Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 4.
Receiving and working with the delegation, on behalf of the Provincial Military Command were Colonel Dinh Bat Van - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command.Provincial Military Command; Colonel Hoang Dinh Luan – Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command, along with heads of relevant departments and divisions.

During the inspection, Colonel Hoang Dinh Luan, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command, reported on the results of the survey, identification of live-fire areas, preparation of training grounds, organization of training, and the plan for organizing live-fire exercises in the Nghe An provincial defense zone exercise in 2026.

Major General Le Van Dang, Deputy Director of the Operations Department, General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, along with other members of the delegation, acknowledged and highly appreciated the survey and selection of live-fire areas for the 2026 exercise conducted by the Nghe An Provincial Military Command.

The Deputy Director of the Operations Department, General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, requested that in the coming period, the Nghe An Provincial Military Command continue to research and survey, selecting practical exercise locations that closely match the local situation. After identifying the practical exercise locations, they should quickly complete all preparatory work, especially the layout of the areas; arrange sufficient equipment and vehicles, and especially prepare adequate facilities at the practical exercise area according to the plan; organize training and practice thoroughly on the scenarios to achieve good results and ensure absolute safety in the exercise.
